Note by PdeB: Part of the article is an interview with Shahina Siddiqui on the Quebec government’s new action plan to fight radicalization. The article highlights the “handbook United Against Terrorism with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police” omitting to inform readers of The Gazette and the Canadian Press that on September 30, 2014, the RCMP issued a press release to explain its position: “After a final review of the handbook, the RCMP could not support the adversarial tone set by elements of the booklet and therefore directed RCMP Manitoba not to proceed with this initiative.”
Also, the article failed to mention that the RCMP put an end to the involvement of their Manitoba officers in this “bridge building” activity shortly before the launch of the booklet.
