Original title: HUMOR: London’s Finsbury Park Mosque Locks Journalist In A Room
Still associated in the collective psyche with Richard Reid, the failed shoe bomber, Zacarias Moussaoui, the 9/11 conspirator, and Abu Hamza, its former hook-handed preacher now jailed for terrorism in the United States, London’s Finsbury mosque came under new management in 2005 before supposedly going through a transformation process aimed at reforming its relationship with the wider community.
That was before earlier this year, when a freelance journalist ended up locked in a room and later on freed by the police after an interview with Mohammed Kozbar, manager of the Finsbury mosque, went sour. According to the journalist, things began to heat up exactly when he started asking questions about the mosque’s links with the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization now under significant public scrutiny since the launch of a government inquiry.
