On cite souvent l’Indonésie comme étant l’exemple d’un état où islam se conjugue avec démocratie. Cependant, il semble que ce pays soit en mouvance vers un islam radical. Dans certaines régions, on tolère que des écoles publiques forcent les jeunes filles à se voiler même si elles ne sont pas musulmanes.
