L’article 22 de la constitution américaine limite à deux mandats de quatre ans la durée maximale d’exercice de la présidence par un citoyen. Ainsi, un citoyen ne peut servir comme Président pendant plus de huit ans. Un projet de loi vise à abroger cet article.
