The Toronto Sun published Salim Mansur’s latest column today : West given rosy view of Islamism. Mansur refers to the “web magazine” Point de Bascule which “draws attention to the Second Global Conference on World’s Religions after 9/11” in order to demonstrate “the extent to which non-Muslim religious leaders, such as the Dalai Lama, and clerics and scholars of religious studies, engage in soft-peddling Islamism to western audiences”.
Salim Mansur is also the author of a new must read book – Delectable Lie: A liberal repudiation of multiculturalism, in which he makes the case that official multiculturalism, undermines the principles of Western democracy and allows “shady subversive cells of Islamists (to) spread” and establish the grounds so that “the mainstream Muslim organizations either based in the mosques or outside were sufficiently penetrated by Islamists to lend support politically and financially to promoting Islamism”. (in chapter 6)
