Muneeb Nasir is a well-known Muslim Canadian leader, writer and public speaker on religious and societal matters and is highly respected for his knowledge and involvement in religious and current affairs.

He is the President of the Olive Tree Foundation (www.olivetreefoundation.ca), a Toronto-based endowment foundation and granting agency.

Muneeb is the Managing Editor of the online magazine website, Iqra.ca, which provides a Muslim perspective on current issues, Canadian correspondent for OnIslam.net and a freelance contributor to a number of online web sites.

He is a coordinator of the Muslim Presence Network (www.muslimpresence.com) which is a platform for community and social activists who seek to promote universal values and active citizenship and Campaign Co-Chair of the Muslims for White Ribbon Campaign.

Muneeb is a frequent guest speaker at institutions where he promotes greater inter-community and interfaith understanding and active citizenship. He is also a volunteer Muslim chaplain (Khateeb) at various mosques/prayer facilities in the GTA and on University campuses where he delivers the sermon and conducts the Friday Prayer services.

Over the past few decades, Muneeb has founded a number of major institutions and been actively engaged in numerous non-profit organizations and projects:

Editor, AN-NUR Magazine (Jami Mosque) and Al-Basheer Magazine (Islamic Foundation);
Program Chair and Board Member – Islamic Foundation of Toronto;
Honorary Board of Governor – Scouts Canada;
Member, the Scarborough Hospital – Strategic Plan Refresh Community Engagement & Communications Sub-committee
Executive – Muslim Students Association-University of Guelph;
Honorary Board of Advisor Member – Canadian Muslim Fellowship of Scouting;
Education Chair – Jami Mosque;
Board Member – MENTORS;
Parent Council Member – Albert Campbell Collegiate.

Educated at the University of Toronto and University of Guelph, he works as a Senior Business and Systems Analyst and resides in the city of Toronto with his family.
